Eweruka Flays Atiku, Wants Wike To Shun Reconciliatory Moves

…Pays glowing Tribute To Late Eze Nwaji

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Precious Eweruka has called on Governor Nyesom Wike to ignore moves made by the committee set up to reconcile him and Alh. Atiku Abubakar and stand his grounds on the position taken on the lingering political issues.

Ewuruka who has remained an ardent member of PDP since 1999 said the call became imperative due to the apparent injustice and unfairness displayed against governor Wike by the same men coming for settlement now during the party’s presidential primaries.

He particularly took a swipe on Atiku’s style of playing politics, jumping from one party to the other, only to come back to hijack and grab political positions to the detriment of more committed members.

Chiding him for shortchanging politicians in the South, Ewuruka noted that Gov. Wike has consistently stood for the party even when it almost went into extinction, revived and spent enormous resources for its sustenance till date.

On the late Paramount Ruler of Oyigbo, HRH, Eze Mike Nwaji, Ewuruka who is also the Eze Oha Oyibo Palace Secretary observed that the late king’s reign ushered in unity and peaceful co-existence of all residents of Oyigbo irrespective of tribe and religion before his demise.

He also extolled the leadership qualities of the late monarch which according to him, include floating of scholarship scheme to students who come from poor families, skill acquisition programmes, empowerment as well as prompt intervention into all manner of squabbles. Eweruka urged those clamouring to succeed him to steer clear until after his burial when the kingmakers will sit and elect a credible person to replace him.
