Labour Party Gov’ship Flag-bearer In Rivers, Beatrice Itubo Talks Tough

…Says She Can’t Be Intimidated

The Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate in Rivers State, Chief Comrade (Mrs) Beatrice Itubo has made it known that no level of intimidation or harassment can force her out of the race or stop her party from winning the forthcoming general election.

She stated this when she appeared on the Love Fm 97.7 Radio programme (journey to 2023) monitored in Port Harcourt over the weekend.

She said that they came with a purpose and that is why they are determined and so will not chicken out of the race for anything.

Comrade Itubo who is also the Rivers State chairperson of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) made it clear that coming from the background of fairness and justice, she is determined to run the full length of the race and take over the reigns of power in order to right the wrongs of the present administration especially as it concerns the suffering Nigerian workers.

She maintained that gender is not a challenge for her and believes that whatever a man can do, a woman can do it even better.

“I don’t even see myself as a woman in the first place”, she declared.

Comrade Itubo said the Labour Party is a divine project God Himself coupled together to rescue the country cum the state.

In Rivers State, she said they came prepared with a 10 point agenda that includes revamping the moribund industries in the State and employ the teaming youth; revamping the educational sector and halt the decay; revamping the abandoned agricultural sector as well as restructuring the security architecture of the state to guarantee safety of lives and properties of the citizens.

She also said her administration will tackle the double taxation in the system which she pointed out is driving away investors. “My government will embark on industrial revolution to create real and sustainable employment for the youths”.

She said the Labour Party administration will institutionalized the corruption fight through a policy and also make government agencies to obey the rule of law.

To show how determined they are in course of achieving their target, the Labour Party hopeful said they are not bothered about the RSG order 21 and 22 and have almost covered the 23 Local Government areas in their direct contact electioneering campaigns.

She made it known that her integrity as well as the trust and confidence she has built over the years are her major weapon to clinch the victory in the forthcoming contest. “My supporters believe in my capacity to restore hope in the system and I will not betray the confidence they reposed in me when given the chance”, she stressed.

Comr. (Mrs) Itubo used the opportunity to appeal to the electorates to go and collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs)  and ensure that they exercise their franchise, adding that their votes must count this time around, especially with the new electoral law in place and the assurances of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

She assured the ‘Obidients’ whose revolution she noted is spreading like a wild fire across the country that their efforts will never be in vain as God is with the movement, adding that the movement is all about rescuing the country from total collapse and rebuild it.
