All is now set for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign rally in Asari Toru Local government area of Rivers State, slated for Friday, January 25.
The PDP campaign coordinator in Asalga, Alabo George Kelly, made this known during a pivotal meeting held at the council headquarters in Buguma City on Saturday.
Briefing newsmen shortly after the meeting, he said the meeting was to fashion out strategies to mobilize the masses and how to receive the state governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike and the state party exco who will be visiting the local government area soon.
The campaign coordinator said the campaign council will leave no stone unturned to give their party the best for a successful re-election of Governor Nyesom Wike and all other PDP candidates.
He noted that Asalga as a LGA has always delivered for PDP, adding that in the last elections, they were able to deliver all the 226 units for PDP.
He, however, implored the people of Asalga to come out en masse to receive the governor and his entourage on Friday, and urged them to be orderly, assuring that all necessary security measures will be put in place to ensure a smooth conduct of the programme.
Chief Odiari Princewill, the council boss urged all the political chieftains and those given certain assignments to use the opportunity to mentor the aspiring younger politicians on the virtues of hardwork and selfless service for the betterment of the party and the LGA at large.
Chief Paworiso Samuel Horsfall and other stakeholders in their separate speeches urged every member of the party to avail themselves the opportunity to bring back those of their brothers and sisters still remaining in the APC and other political parties.
