The Executive Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Odiari Princewill has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), International Community and relevant authorities to disregard and ignore any result by the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the local government.
Addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt, Hon. Princewill said that elections took place in Asari-Toru successfully with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winning victoriously in all the units, adding that the evidence of the unit results would be provided where necessary.
He stated that when APC noticed that PDP emerged victorious, they trooped to the units with the military and Federal SARS and snatched all the materials for the elections and manipulated the results as they wished.
According to Hon. Princewill, Asalga is made up of two constituencies into 15 communities and all the units were won by PDP except Ward 13 that election did not take place because of differences between PDP and APC.
Hon. Princewill disclosed that, PDP has petitioned to INEC about the ugly trend carried out by APC in collaboration with the military and Federal SARS.
He therefore, called on the people of Asalga to remain steadfast and embrace peace while they hope that INEC will do justice to the petition by treating it accordingly.
