The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim & Seraphim, Diobu District have ended their children Department open air crusade in grand style over the weekend in Port Harcourt.
The crusade which came under the theme “Salvation” witnessed a lot of testimonies through the word.
The event saw the children totally in charge of the programme with the aim of inculcating the church doctrine and practice into them with the view of them taking over as they understudy the adults.
The Diobu District Headquarter children, No 9 Akokwa Street had their 3-day crusade Wednesday 24th April – Friday 26th April 2019 while the Oro-Akwor Mgbuoshimini branch, children had theirs on Saturday 27th April, 2019 with the children general thanks-giving on Sunday 28th April 2019.
The event was also used to officially open the children department building of the Mgbuoshimini branch that was newly built by the elders led by the Diobu District chairman, Senior Apostle Samuel Chukunda.
The Diobu District chairman said in a chat with newsmen that the programme was an innovation by the children department in conjunction with the Mount Zion Youth Society (MZYS) which he noted has paid off.
He explained that the theme centred on ‘salvation’ and the need for people to be cautious of the heavenly race which he noted is an individual thing.
Also speaking the Diobu province coordinator of the children department, supervising Apostle John Obiano disclosed that the programme which witnessed drama presentation and cultural dance was a huge success.
According to him, “the huge attendance and clement weather in the midst of rainy season is a good indication of prayer answered,” he noted.
He made it clear that various testimonies from the crusade will be made manifest later as God never fails.
Super Apostle Obiano also said the successful outing will mark the beginning of many things to come from the children department and also an encouragement for open Air Crusades of the whole church later in the year.
