AA Imo Deputy Gov Candidate, Dumps Okorocha, Nwosu, Joins PDP
Immediate past Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly and deputy governorship candidate of Action Alliance in the state, Acho Ihim, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
Ihim announced his defection on Thursday shortly after the ninth Assembly was inaugurated by the deputy governor of the state, Gerald Irona.
Ihim said that he was no longer part of the litigation challenging the electoral victory of the state governor, Emeka Ihedioha.
According to him, Ihedioha was brought by God and should be supported by all.
He said, “I have consulted my conscience, my family and political family and it is time to distance myself from the litigation challenging the electoral victory of the governor of Imo State.
“Ihedioha was brought by God and it is right that we support him to succeed.”
Our correspondent gathered that Ihim abandoned his former political party in order to save his political career.
