Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State on Tuesday inaugurated a 27 Interim Management Committee to oversee the affairs of the local government areas of the State.
He also inaugurated 305 representatives drawn from each electoral ward who will serve as Councillors.
Ihedioha had on Monday, announced the suspension of local government Chairmen and their Vice in line with the suspension order of the out gone State Assembly, that suspended them for failing to answer allegations levelled against them.
The Government House was filled with supporters who besieged the event to celebrate with the new office holders.
The newly inaugurated Chairmen for each local government are as follows: Owerri North-Solomon Onwuegbuchulam; Ikeduru- Dr. Anslem Opara; Owerri West- Hon. Innocent Ekenma; Owerri Municipal- Hon. Ebere Chukwuemeka; Mbaitoli- Ugo Canice Mba; Ngor Okpala- Hon. Charles Abara; Aboh Mbaise Jonathan Onyeneke.
Others are: Ahiazu Mbaise- Sam Ahiarakwem; Ezinihitte Mbaise – Getrude Iroeme (Mrs); Nwangele – Okey Onyejiaka; Nkwerre- Lawrence Nwadike; Njaba – Obodoshaa Agwubuo; Isu – Nnamdi Nsoromotu; Ideato South – Ifeanyi Okwara; Ideato North – Hon. Ernest Njesi; Orlu – Hon. Aloysius Oluigbo; Orsu-Hon. Herbert Ubah; Oru East – Mrs Dympna Mbiamnozie.
And Oru West- Akunnakwe Kenneth; Oguta – Hon. Hillary Eberendu; Ohaji Egbema – Hon. Damian Ezeruo; Onuimo – Chief Silas Onyeiwu; Obowo – Hon. Jasper Chukwuemeka; Ehime Mbano – Engr. Ben Nwaoluka; Ihitte Uboma – Barr. Maureen Onyekele (Mrs.); Okigwe – Hon. Paul Uche; and Isiala Mbano Mrs Ngozi Oguike.
