Motorcycle Riders To Partner With Khana Chair On Security

Following the security challenges ravaging parts of Ogoni Land in recent times, Comrade Matthew Godfrey Inee the branch chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) (Motorcycle branch) in Khana Local Government Area has expressed his association readiness to partner with the chairmen of Khana Local Government Area Hon. Lahteh Lah Loolo on security.

He made the disclosure in his office at Bori the Khana Local Government heaquaters during an interactive meeting with members of the association.

Mr. Godfrey who lamented the security challenges of the area, said the problem is affecting everybody, especially in Bori Main town. He assured that, they are ready to support the chairman ensure the problem is brought to an end, stressing that since the problem started the economic activities in the area is completely paralyzed, thereby bringing untold hardship on the people.

While commending the local government chairman, Hon Lahteh Lah Loolo for his effort at bringing peace to the area, he said all hands must be on deck to ensure the holistic development of Khana Local Government, adding that, he has created the enabling environment for sustainable peace in the area and should be given the necessary support to succeed.

Also he condemned the political leaders in Khana for being behind the high level security challenges rocking the area. He said the cultist terrorizing the local government were sponsored by politicians.

On his part Chief Leyigabari Nwibie pleaded with Governor Nyesom Wike to come to the aid of the people by ensuring that the problem is tackled headlong.

Barrister Nwibie said “Khana is no longer safe, nobody is at home, the crisis has taken over our villages, the Rivers State Government should do something.

However he listed some of the communities that has been sacked as a result of the crisis to include; Eeken, Luawii, Gwara, Zaakpon and Luebe others include: Bua Bangan, Sogo Kono Boue, Kpam Boue, Kereke, Uegure, yonkuri and Uegure among others.
