PDP Chairmanship Primaries: Abolga Council Boss Promises All Inclusive Administration
The Chairmanship flag-bearer of the Peoles Democratic Party, PDP, in the April 17 Local Government elections, Hon. Daniel I.O. Daniel has promised to run an all inclusive government if re-elected to superintend the affairs of the Abolga people.
Hon Daniel made the promise shortly after the PDP primaries held at the Local Government Council headquarters on Sunday, February 14.
Hon Daniel who is the sitting council chairman of the Abua/Odual Local Government Area thanked the leadership of the party, particularly the delegates for giving him the opportunity once again to contest for the council elections and promised to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Abua/Odual.
His words: “I thank the party leadership for giving me the party ticket unopposed to return as the Local Government Chairman, though it is not over until after April 17. So we must all work hard as a team to ensure that PDP secures total victory.”
Hon. Daniel also promised that the PDP family in Abua/Odual will continue to be one big family they used to be.
The Council Chairman also pleaded for forgiveness from those he had offended on line of duty, adding that he would continue to work with the leadership of the party as all offices would be zoned by the party leadership to ensure that everyone is carried along.
According to him, the first year of his second term will be dedicated to upgrading the transportation system in the area and also promised to build a fast food centre for the people to alleviate the problem of going to Ahoada for such delicacies.
Dr. Henry Ogirih thanked the party members for their peaceful conduct of the PDP chairmanship primaries, noting that Abua/Odual is a peace loving Local Government Area.
He urged the chairmanship candidate to carry everyone along and ensure that peace continues to reign in the area.
The Local Government Party Chairman, Oye Fubara Igeniwari said the process was quite smooth and successful, noting that Hon. Daniel has been a team player and urged him to continue in that spirit.
He also enjoined all party members to rally round him so as to ensure that the party wins the Local Government elections.
