Wike’s Political Machine, PDP Stabilizer – Hon Nwachukwu

The political machine of the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has been said to be responsible for the antidote that stabilizes the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This was the opinion of the Party Returning Officer in charge of the Gokana Local Government Area and Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon John Ndubueze Nwanchukwu at the councillorship and chairmanship party primaries respectively over the weekend.

Speaking with newsmen at the just concluded party primary elections, he said it would be difficult for any other political parties in the country to surpass the PDP even after the exit of Governor Wike.

“Wike’s political capacity and philosophy is infectious and one needs to understudy him for some time in order to appreciate him,” he stated.

Hon Nwachukwu, a former Special Adviser to the governor said all the candidates presented by the PDP has been tested and trusted to effectively deliver on their mandates.

He observed that in all the party primaries, there was no rancor neither was there any disagreement as stakeholders were consulted to come to the concensus of the flag bearers.

The Returning Officer maintained that there was no way the electorate will be deceived to vote in any other party even in the 2023 general election, going by Governor Wike’s performance in office.

“The Governor has turned the whole state into construction site with roads and infrastructural development including the unprecedented six (6) flyovers bridges.”

He appealed to the incoming council chairmen to listen to the electorates and hit the road with their development plans to enhance the welfare of their people at the grassroot and indeed avoid the pitfalls of their predecessors.

And for the eight (8) returning chairmen, Hon Nwachukwu used the opportunity to advise them to make amendment in the areas they did not do well in the interest of their political career.
