HRM king (Amb) Barile Yornah Deebom JP ( Gbenemene Ken-Khana lV) has congratulated two Ken-Khana elites and others who merited the recent appointment as members of Board of Trustees and governing council of the Hydrocarbon Pollution and Remediation Project ( HYPREP),
King Barile Deebom, in a statement by his Media Director, Royal Chief Amb Magnus Edooh described the two ken- Khana sons as noteworthy and dogged duo whose tracks record clearly defines them as refined transformative agents of positive change.
He opined that although we are from the oil rich region, the traditional institution had been neglected in most scheme of things that over the years by the outgoing board concerning the clean-up of Ogoni polluted communities.
King Amb Barile, said that traditional institution will ensure that the remediation work in Ogoni becomes a reality through these competent patriotic Ogoni indigenes on the board.
The dreams of our heroes should not be turned into politics, rather, the degradation of our polluted land needs to be restored.
He urged the Ogonis to rally round the newly inaugurated board members in terms of advice, contributions of ideas and spirited support.
“We need periodic and cogent information about the remediation work and restoration of livelihood of the people of Ken-Khana kingdom and Ogoni at large” (king Deebom.)
