All is now set for a-one-day seminar on Shooting Sports in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The event billed for Friday, 16th July,2021 at Ernest Ikoli Press Centre of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), promises to have the Rivers State Commissioner for Sports, Hon Boma Iyaye as Special Guest of Honour.
The Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Sports and National President, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria(SWAN), Sir Honour Sirawoo will be Guest of Honour at the event while the Director of Sports in the State, Mildred Hart will be Guest at the programme.
The Keynote Speaker is the immediate past President of Nigerian Shooting Sports Federation (NSSF), Brig. Gen. Lonsdale Adeoye (Rtd), among others.
The programme with its theme, “Unveiling Shooting: A Millennium Sport”,shall have members of SWAN and who-is-who in sports fraternity in attendance.
In a chat with Rivers SWAN Chairman, Sarah David, she said better days are ahead, as more sports will be highlighted in subsequent seminars.
According to her, the new Executive under her watch, is poised to repositioning SWAN in Rivers State.
