Elder Barikui Ololeh Passes On

…As Burial Holds Saturday, October 6

The death has been announced of Elder (L/P) Barikui Ololeh.  He died on Thursday, July 12, 2018 following a brief illness at a private hospital in Bori, headquarters of Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State.

Elder Ololeh who hailed from Kwawa, Ken-Khana, Khana Local Government Area was until his death, a devoted member of Christ Army Church of Nigeria (CACN).

He held several positions in the church, including District Elder, Ken Khana North District; Diocesan Executive Member (DEM), Vice Chairman, Bori Christian Men Association of Christ Army Church of Nigeria; Chairman, Diocesan Welfare Committee; member Diocesan Elders/DEM Forum, amongst others.

According to the burial arrangement released by the Burial Committee, there will be a Night of Tributes on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at his compound, Kwawa, Khana Local Government Area.  On Friday, October 5, 2018 there will be Service of Songs while Funeral Service and interment will hold on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Michael’s Christ Army Church of Nigeria, Kwawa, Ken-Khana District, Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State.

The Burial Committee enjoined all members of Christ Army Church of Nigeria (CACN) and the general public to participate in all the burial arrangements in order to give the late Elder (L/P) Barikui Ololeh a befitting farewell.

A peep at the biography of the late Elder/Lay Preacher, Ololeh revealed he died at the age of 49 years, a second child and the first son among the eight and surviving children of his parent.

He obtained his first school leaving certificate in 1978 and proceeded to Government Secondary School, Lua-Wii from 1979 to 1984 where he obtained his West African School Certificate.  He proceeded to higher education with admission into Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku from 1992 to 1994 and was awarded Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Industrial Technical Education Auto-Mechanics option.

He also gained admission into the Columbus International University, UK in collaboration with the Academy of Corporate Management and Strategic Planning at College of Continuing Education, University of Port Harcourt.

Late Elder (L/P) Ololeh Barikui is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barikpoa Kareen Barikui and three children, a male and two females.
