Cultists Unleash Havoc In Emohua
Barely two weeks after rival cult groups killed many people in Egbeda and Ubimini Communities in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, three people had again been reportedly beheaded in two other communities in the LGA.
The beheading this time, according to reports, were carried out in Odua and Elegbrada communities on Monday September 24.
According to the reports, while two of the men were killed in Odua, one was hacked to death at Elegbrada, two alleged cult infested communities in Emohua.
The police have not yet said anything on the latest killings, but the chairman of the LGA, Hon. Tom Eliezi had attributed it to supremacy war between the various cult groups, but assured that security agents in the area will work to identify those behind the killings.
As part of ways to solve the problem, the chairman said his council had concluded plans to launch an empowerment scheme to engage the youths.
He has therefore urged the youths of various communities in the area to avail themselves of the opportunity presented by the empowerment scheme and register inorder to be trained on various skills.
Emohua Local Government Area is a hotbed of cultism. A number of communities in the area are allegedly infested with various cult groups who had severally unleashed havoc, killing and maiming innocent citizens of the area.
