Stakeholders Reel Out Reasons Behind Wike’s Nomination

Reasons have been given why Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike was nominated for a second term in office.

Speaking with newsmen at the PDP gubernatorial Primary Election venue over the weekend in Port Harcourt, various delegates poured encomium on the State governor, expressing why he deserves another term in office.

The Executive Chairman of Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Prince Gerald Oforji, said the result is an eloquent testimony that Wike has performed beyond reasonable doubt as a governor.

“He has earned the confidence of Rivers people by his excellent performance in all sector and so deserves to be returned for a second chance”, he said.

Also, Hon. Chisom Promise Dike, member representing Oyigbo State Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, said the singular fact that Wike has dazzled even the opposition makes it difficult for any other aspirant to challenge him for the position.

“Gov Wike is a grassroot politician, who is passionate over the development of the State and the welfare of her people, and so, little wonder no one bothers changing a winning team,” Dike noted.

The Board of Trustee Chairman of Wike Solidarity Movement (WSM), Hon Gabriel Pidomson, said the State Governor deserves second tenure, not only as his constitutional right but because he has earned the confidence of Rivers people by his performance to nominate him again to consolidate on his achievements this past years.

“Gov Wike is an excellent performer, whose passion for the welfare of his people cannot be surpassed. He deserves even a third tenure, if there is anything like that,” Pidomson said.

In his reaction, one of the senatorial aspirants for Rivers East Senatorial District, Hon. Barry Mpigi said Wike has performed beyond expectation and so deserves a second term.

“Gov Wike is a politician, who knows what to do with power.

Despite the propaganda of the opposition, they too are convinced Wike has set a pace that would be difficult to equaled. Mpigi said if given the chance to go to the red chamber, he will make a difference as he has all it takes to give effective representation.

In his own reaction, Hon Evans Bapakaye Bipi, member representing Ogu/Bolo State Constituency in Rivers State House of Assembly, said Wike does not only deserve to be nominated but would be encouraged to win the general election as to do more for Rivers State, South/South region and the nation at large going by his capacity, boldness and exposure.

“Wike has indeed raise the Stake in Nigerian politics, infact his place is there at the centre someday in the future and it would manifest soon,” he noted.
