Barely six months after he was crowned as Ojijiagwo IV of Rumuiwhechiolu Community in Rukpokwu Town by HRH, Eze Dr. C.C. Ogwu and his council of chiefs, Chief Samuel Nna Amadi Wopara was on Wednesday September 26, admitted into Apara kingdom and confirmed as a chief.
HRM Eze Chike Amadi Worlu Wodo (JP), Eze Oha Apara IV in the presence of his council of Traditional rulers and chiefs admitted and crowned him along two other chiefs in his palace at Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
The two other chiefs crowned were, Henry Ozurunye from Rumuadolu and Christopher Weli from Rukpokwu.
In his speech before the ceremony, Eze Wodo said those seats had been vacant at the Apara Kingdom Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs and so decided to fill them that day for efficient and effective administration of the kingdom.
He made the chiefs to understand that traditional rulers are servant of God and the people, saying they should use their position to serve God and the people.
Speaking to our correspondent after the ceremony, the highly elated Chief Samuel Amadi Wopara said he was delighted to be a member of Apara Kingdom Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, saying he would work together with His Majesty and other chiefs to bring development, progress and peace in Apara kingdom. He thanked Eze Wodo and his council for finding him worthy to be admitted into the prestigious Apara Kingdom Council, the highest decision making body for Apara people as regards tradition/culture.
Among those who witnessed the historic ceremony were: Chief T.O. Wokpo (JP), chairman, Apara Kingdom Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, HRH Eze Barry Owabie, Traditional Prime Minister, Apara kingdom/Paramount Ruler, Rumuepirikom, Eze Okabie of Rumuomoi, HRH Eze Dr. C.C. Ogwu, Rukpokwu Paramount Ruler, Owhor Holders and a coterie of other chiefs.
