Chairman WCM Assures Of Wike, Atiku’s Victory In 2019

The Chairman Wike Continuity Movement (WCM), Chief Uchenna Okokoba has predicted victory for Governor Wike and Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 General Election.

Chief Okokoba who gave this assurance while responding to an address presented by the president of Igbo Journalists Forum (IJF), Isaac Mba during a courtesy visit, said the governor’s performance in office has endeared him to the people and would be responsible for his re-election in 2019.

In the same vein, while speaking through his spokesman, Okokoba who is also the President General, Igbo Title-Holders in Rivers State said President Buhari’s lack lusture performance will make it possible for Atiku to emerge as President, stressing that the man has failed in all areas of governance.

He expressed confidence that Atiku whom he described as an experience politician would revive the economy and put Nigeria on a sound political footing.

The WCM chairman disclosed that his group was working seriously to see that Wike and Atiku win in 2019.

On the requests made by Igbo Journalists Forum (IJF) through their president, Isaac Mba, the well respected Igbo Chief said he will partner and support the body because it was doing a wonderful job in Rivers State.

Speaking on the group’s end of the Year Programme/Award Ceremony, the President Igbo Title holders in Rivers State said he would support the programme financially, but will discuss it with his members first.

Earlier, the president of Igbo Journalists Forum, Isaac Mba had told Okokoba that he is one of the Igbo sons in Rivers State IJF held in high esteem and prayed that he would help actualize the set goals of the body.

He said the IJF’s visit to him could not have come at a better time than now that the body is in dire need of support of worthy Igbo sons and daughters “whose names could easily book a passage to see the power at the top”.  

He used the opportunity to disclose the mission of IJF which according to him, is to project the image of worthy Igbo sons and daughters who are doing well in their fields of endeavour both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora in positive light.
