An enlarged meeting of the leadership of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) at all levels comprising members of the MOSOP Steering Committee, Kingdom executives and chapter leaders and presided over by Deputy President, Chief Fortune Okwa Chujor, has approved the constitution of an electoral committee to conduct elections for the organization.
The committee has the mandate to conduct elections as stipulated by the MOSOP constitution to produce the next set of leaders for the organization before December 31, 2018.

RESOLUTIONS OF THE EMERGENCY MEETING OF MOSOP NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE(NEC) HELD AT THE MOSOP OFFICE, PORT HARCOURT ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH 2018
An emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), was held at the MOSOP office, Port Harcourt today, November 8th, 2018. The meeting deliberated on various issues including update on the plans for the Ogoni Martyrs Day Remembrance activities and the recent orchestration of crisis by some misguided elements in Ogoni.
After exhaustive deliberations, the meeting resolved as follows:
The NEC commended Ogoni People for their continued massive support and commitment to the Ogoni struggle.
The NEC called on all sons and daughters of Ogoniland including friends of the Ogoni people to turn out massively for the activities marking the 23rd anniversary commemoration of the Ogoni Martyrs particularly the Memorial Lecture on the 10thNovember 2018 at The Atrium Events Centre, Port Harcourt
The NEC reviewed the activities of some individuals that has been holding unauthorized and illegal meetings in the name of the Movement
The NEC condemns the purported and illegal setting up of an ELECO for MOSOP by some desperate elements without the convocation of the MOSOP Steering Committee presided over by the MOSOP President as stipulated in the constitution of MOSOP
The NEC views these acts as attempts aimed at causing a breach of the peace and order in Ogoniland
In the light of the above, NEC hereby suspends indefinitely the individuals and officials behind the promotion of these nebulous and destabilizing activities. These suspended officials include: Dr. Fortune Chujor, Mr. Fegalo Nsuke and Mr. Silvanus Adamgbo.
NEC calls on all Ogoni people to remain calm and peaceful.
