Tears, Wailings, As Octogenarian, Wife Are Buried In Obrikom

It was a day of tears and glowing tributes as the remains of Elder Gilbert Aduche and wife, Madam Nkwoma Okoromah, who were tragically killed on a ghastly motor accident along Omoku -Elele road on 17th, July 2018. Chinedu and Nwachukwu, their two sons survived the accident with Chinedu recuperating from a serious fracture on both ankles and wrists.

In an open air service at Obrikom, in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA, dignitaries from far and near attended their funerals.  Among whom were Hon. Nathaniel Uwaji, member representing ONELGA Constituency 2 in the RSHA, Dr Maxwell Ahiakwo, OSPAC Chairman, ONELGA Council reps, chiefs among others.

On the sideline, Victor Ohaji, Chairman Diobu vigilante paid glowing tributes to the departed souls saying their deaths had created a big vacuum in the family. Ohaji, who represented Dr. Uche Mike Chukwuma, Neighbourhood Watch Chairman said the late Elder Gilbert Okoromah was his uncle, urging the family to bear their loss with fortitude.

In the same vein, Prince Emeka Okoromah cautioned motorists against reckless driving, especially now that the festive period is around the corner.  He urged security agencies to checkmate the activities of hoodlums along the lonely road.

Chinedu who survived the accident alongside his brother, Nwachukwu thanked all and sundry for show of support for the successful burial of their parents.  Elder Gilbert Okoroma, aged 87, while his wife, was 70.
