The Amanyanabo of Ele kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru has charged the people of the kingdom to be their brothers’ keeper and eschew bitterness and rancor among them.
King Okuru, Apina VII made the charge at Ele recently during a historic empowerment of some of the indigenes of the area which he initiated as a way of encouraging his people and fostering peace and development of the kingdom.
The traditional ruler who announced that the empowerment programme will be a regular event (monthly) charged the recipients to always preach peace, love and unity and most importantly, imbibe the necessary values that will help the kingdom advance appreciably.
King Tamunoseipiriala Okuru also assured the youths of more employment opportunities from companies operating in their land and thanked the chairman of the organizing committee, Feberesima Minsseichinbo for a job well done.
In his speech, the chairman of the occasion, Rt. Hon. Evans Bapakaye Bipi who is the Chief Whip of the State Legislature, and member representing Ogu/Bolo State Constituency applauded the rate of development of Ele which is one of the nine ancient clans of Wakirike ethnic nationality and enjoined the Amanayanabo to keep it up.
Also in their separate speeches, the traditional rulers of Bolo, Okochiri, Kala-Ogoloma through their representatives as well as the Ogu/Bolo Local Government Council of Chiefs, Chief N. I. Ayomadiki commended the Amanyababo of Ele kingdom for the empowerment programme and urged him to keep it up.
They also prayed for peace in the kingdom while charging the Ele indigenes to always respect their king.
The highlight of the occasion was a ministration of God’s word and prayers for unity in the kingdom led by Evangelist Marian Theophilus Ohuoba.
