Members of the Fruit and Vegetable Sellers Association, D/line, Port Harcourt have been enjoined to reciprocate the kind gestures of Governor Nyesom Wike for constructing an ultra modern market for them after an inferno gutted their market last year.
The Traditional Ruler and Amanyanabo of Ele Kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, His Royal Highness, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, Apina VII gave the advice when members of the Association paid him a felicitation visit in his Palace in Port Harcourt following his wife, Her Royal Highness, Queen Sarah Okuru, who is the Chair Lady of the market safe delivery of a baby-boy recently.
King Okuru said the Governor has truly shown that he has passion for the welfare and enabling business environment for the people and reiterated that all hands must be on deck to support the Wike administration as his project delivery cuts across all nooks and crannies of the State.
The Ele Monarch noted that with the people of the State solidly behind the Governor, more projects are being expected as the State moves to attain an enviable height, stressing that as Mr. Project and Talk-na-do-Governor, who is carrying everybody along, the skies would be his limit.
He further appealed to the members of the Association to give all necessary support and co-operation to the Governor Wike government to continue in his good works to the people of the State and thanked them for the visit as it had shown the love they had for their Chair Lady.
Earlier, the Executive Chairman of the Association, Fubara Matthew said that they are very grateful to Governor Nyesom Wike for the reconstruction of the burnt market as well as the speedily and quality work being carried out, and opined that they are praying for him to come back to Government House and accomplish what he had started.
Fubara Matthew further said they are solidly behind Governor Wike as members are loyal and obedient to the government in all ramifications and prayed God to give long life and courage to serve the people, while assuring the Ele Monarch and his wife of the love they have for the Royal family.
In their separate speeches, the immediate past Chairman of the Association, Chief Felix Taribo and the Financial Secretary, Calistus Anyamaeze hinted that their visit was to celebrate with the family of the Royal Father and his wife who is their Chairlady over the birth of a baby-boy and also used the forum to call on the Governor to expedite action on the completion of the new ultra modern market building for their members.
