I’m So Glad Wike Won Reelection – Monarch
A traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Eze Owabie Tobin, has said that he is pleased that the governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, won reelection in this year’s general elections.
His Royal Highness Tobin, who is Eze Onumini I of Diobu Ngboundukwu Community, in Port-Harcourt City Local Government Area of the state said that he had endorsed Governor Wike for second term, and had directed the people of his domain to vote for him in the March 9 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
The traditional ruler who stated this in an interview in Port-Harcourt, congratulated Governor Wike on his victory and appealed that Wike should keep up his good performance in his second tenure.
He also appealed that Governor Wike should create jobs for the youth and pay the salaries of civil servants in the state promptly.
Eze Tobin appealed to him to also develop the waterfronts in Diobu by establishing schools and health centres in the area.
He used the occasion to also congratulate Hon. Chinyere Igwe on his reelection to the House of Representatives for Port-Harcourt Federal Constituency II on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Eze Tobin said that the people of Diobu are proud of him, adding that they believe that he will be a good representative of the people.
He also congratulated the Mayor of Port-Harcourt and chairman of Port-Harcourt City Local Government Area, Hon. Victor Ihunwo, on his election as chairman of the local government area.
He commended Hon. Ihunwo and Hon. Igwe for the roles they played in ensuring that Governor Wike was reelected as the governor of Rivers State.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness, Eze Tobin, has advised politicians in the state to play politics in line with the rules of the game.
He advised politicians to avoid temptation to throw their parties into chaos by the imposition of candidates, saying that political actors should observe internal democracy in their actions.
