…As He Receives INEC Certificate
The Degema State Constituency member-elect to the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Anthony Soberekon has appreciated PDP faithfuls in his area for their steadfastness and support which he noted translated to his electoral victory in the 2019 general election.
Speaking shortly after receiving his Certificate of Returns from the INEC officials in Port Harcourt, Hon. Soberekon used the opportunity to condemn in its entirety the militarization of the 2019 general election which he said resulted to the loss of lives and destruction of properties in the state.
He however confessed to being happy because according to him, “the result is a testimony that God is behind all the development in Rivers State, hence the resultant effect despite all the evil plots against the state”.
“I therefore dedicate this certificate indeed to my people in Port Harcourt, in Bille Community and other Communties in Degema Constituency for their support”.
Hon. Soberekon used the opportunity to invite all his political opponents in the contest, to come together and work with him to move their constituency forward, adding that apart from his constituency projects, he will ensure that he emulate “Mr. Projects,” the Rivers governor to attract more developmental projects to his area before the expiration of his tenure.
“Particularly, I will in collaboration with other stakeholders ensure that my people are empowered especially in the area of education”.
The lawmaker maintained that he will ensure that cultism and other social vices are eradicated in the state through consultation, lectures, seminars, skill acquisition and educational empowerment programmes for the youths.
He made it known that as the government progresses from May 29, when the elected candidates will be sworn in to office, his political agenda will come in full swing for implementation.
Hon. Soberekon further used the opportunity to congratulate Gov Nyesom Wike for his electoral victory and equally commended him for his maturity of not responding to the provocation of the enemies’ evil machination during the electoral travail.
He equally thanked the INEC for standing their ground and did the right thing by refusing to fall under the organized conspiracy to manipulate the system to sooths the enemies of progress.
