Apostle Bassey Wants Unified Church Service For Wike
…As Jesus Light Favour Ministry Begins Crusade In PH
The Leader and Founder of Jesus Light Favour Ministry International, Apostle Godstime Etim Bassey has suggested the need for a one-day joint prayer session by the various denominations in Rivers State to support the agenda of the new administration under Governor Nyesom Wike who is preaching unity.
He made the suggestion while briefing Journalists at the Church Auditorium along Hon. Martins Close, Runwule road in Eneka town, Port Harcourt, ahead of its week-long evangelical programme which began Tuesday.
The Church leader explained that, the idea would merely serve to confirm the stance of Churches as a non-partisan body that relates well with institutions and organizations that show positivity in actions geared towards improving human life and physical development.
Apostle Godstime Bassey commended the role Churches play in stemming social vices in the society , adding that, the efficacy of prayers offered by religious bodies before and during the last general elections helped forestal total breakdown of law and order in Nigeria, especially in Rivers State.
He recalled how his denomination, Jesus Light Favour Ministry International successfully organized a four-day power packed pre-election prayer session in Port Harcourt to solicit God’s intervention in the last election in the state with its attendant result on the electoral process and result.
The young church leader advised against undermining the power of calling on God, stressing that the recent invitation by Governor Wike to organizations and politicians to work with his administration for peace and development deserves support and applause.
He said many more people are beginning to appreciate him due to his prophecies which have always come true, promising that there will be more of such prophecies during the ongoing pragramme.
The man of God also disclosed that trusted servants of God such as Prophet Ubongabasii Patrick, Evangelist Princess Uduak Akpan and a Port Harcourt- based artist, Chinenye Darlington are part of the event titted, “This affliction Shall Never Repeat Again “, holding from Tuesday, May 7 till Sunday, May 12, 2019 and featuring counseling, all-night praise worship and women celebration. He called for massive attendance to benefit from the programme.
