The chiefs, elders, men, women and youths of Ikpo Group of Houses on Saturday, December 29, 2018, gave thanks to God for His blessing throughout the year, 2018.
The thanksgiving service, which took place at Ikpo Compound Square, had as its theme “Celebrating the Goodness of God”.
In a special remark, the Paramount Ruler/Head of Ikpo group of houses, Chief Ntaimiari .O. ikiriko Harry (Ikpo VII) JP, said that the gathering of the Ikpo group of house was to appreciate the mercies of the Almighty God, the creator and sustainer of their lives.
According to him, the presence and finger of God has been very visible on them as a family, considering the height they went in their aspiration and activities, adding that the growth, survival and expansion of the families indeed, is miraculous.
He thanked God for being so gracious to them from the beginning of 2018 to the end of the year.
In a sermon, Pastor Peace Efemena, the Senior Pastor of Living Faith Church, Buguma, said it is always good to thank God for his blessing, saying always giving thanks to God will motivate God to rise up in the defense and protection of the people.
Chief Dearson Douglas (JP) and elder Dakoru, in their separate speeches, frowned at the attitude of some family members that have refused to take part in the thanksgiving service, saying they should ensure that thanksgiving becomes part of their daily activities for the preservation of their blessing.
Choir ministration, praise and worship unto God enlivened the thanksgiving service.
