Grateful Heart, Gateway To Greatness – Ibiyeomie

The General Overseer of Salvation Ministries (Glorious Chapel) Pastor David Ibiyeomie has called on the people of Okrika to always possess a grateful heart to God.

The ace gospel minister, author and tele-evenagelist made this known on Thursday, May 23, 2019, during the Wakirike Bese National Thanksgiving Day at National Secondary School Field, Okrika which had as its theme “Tamunobelema”, interpred ‘love of God’ in English.

In his brief sermon, Pastor David Ibiyeomie reminded the people of Okrika  to always possess a grateful heart to God, noting that until someone learns to be grateful to God, he or she will never experience greatness saying that grateful heart is the gateway to greatness in the kingdom of God.

The man of God noted that a grateful heart secures God’s attention which in turn attracts supernatural favour. He further enjoined them to avail themselves habit of thanksgiving to avoid backwardness and crisis in the land of Okrika even as he prayed that every other ‘gods’ limiting Okrika should catch fire”.

Pastor Ibiyeomie also commended the organizers of the event, Wakirike-Bese Gospel Ministers Association for a job well done and urged them to ensure that the thanksgiving service becomes a way of life in Okrika.

In an interview with journalist shortly after the programme, His Lordship Rt. Revd Dr. L.T. Elkanah said the event was to thank God for establishing a lasting peace in Okrika. Citing an instance of the crisis in other communities during the election period, he said Okrika was a safe heaven because of the love of God.

According to him, the date May 23rd was the actual date that Christianity came into Okrikaland in the year 1878 and to that effect the Wakirike-Bese Gospel Ministers association decided to choose that date to thank God annually for His blessings.

Highlight of the event was the bestowment of  wards to some dignitaries for their selfless service and immense contribution to the strength, development and sustenance of the Gospel in the land of Okrika as well as choir ministration, praise and worship unto God which enlivened the thanksgiving service.
