The Amanyanabo of ancient Ele Kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, Apina VII has assured the peace of Koniju Town that the long time relationship that existed between both communities would be sustained in order to grow from strength to strength among the Warikike Ethnic nationality and beyond.
King Tamunoseipiriala Okuru gave the assurance when he paid a solidarity visit to the Amanyanabo of Koniju Town, King Nelson Atubo Oputibeya XI at his palace in Okrika, Wednesday.
The Ele monarch said both communities have come a long way as people from Ijaw tribe, stressing that they are brothers and sisters of one family.
According to him, the visit would further cement the relationship between both communities as their brother’s keepers so as to attract more developments to the kingdoms despite some challenges and reiterated that the existing peaceful co-existence and relationship would be drastically maintained at any level.
The Traditional Ruler of the ancient Ele kingdom lauded the king of Koniju Town and the people for the warm reception and cultural display accorded him and his Divisional Counsel of Chiefs, elders and people of his kingdom, and enjoined them to keep up the tempo.
Earlier, the Amanyanabo of Koniju Town, King Nelson Atubo Oputibeya XI had stated the need for Wakirike nation to live in peace and unity, so that they could take their rightful place in the comity of communities, and also have more government recognized traditional rulers that would pilot the ethnic nationality to its former glory and fame.
King Nelso Atubo Oputibeya XI thereby sued for unity and peaceful co-existence to achieve positive result that would further move the Wakirike nation forward.
Also speaking, an elder of Koniju Town, George Otta on behalf of the entire people welcomed their guests for the historic visit, and further opined that with God on their side, the relationship established would take them to their destination.
Elder Otta enjoined all to live together as people of one family, unite in love for development to strive and expressed delight with the activities of the day.
Meanwhile, Chief Joseph Oloye Buloabere of Ele Kingdom who gave the vote off thanks said they were marveled with the reception inspite of the short notice and assured that nothing would stain the relationship between the two sister kingdoms.
Highlights of the day were cultural display and presentation of a brief history of ancient Ele kingdom as one of the towns in Wakirike ethnic nationality and the relationship between the two sister kingdoms by Chief Sample Amatarime Amakiri.
