Cleric Sues For Peace In Khana

Reverend Didi Nyaghanee of the Ascension Apostolic Church Worldwide, Diobu Branch has appealed to the youths in Khana Local Government Area to eschew violence and embrace peace in order to move the area forward.

He made the appeal in Port Harcourt while interacting with newsmen. The man of God who expressed concern over the incessant killings in Ogoniland and especially Khana, noted that the action was counter productive and they should desist from portraying the good image of Ogoni in badlight.

However, he identified lack of forgiveness among the youths and joblessness as some of the major cause of crisis in the area. Mr. Nyaghanee, encouraged the youths of Khana to show true love to one another as contained in the Holy Bible. Also he admonished them to be patriotic and stop carrying arms and weapons of destruction against each other.

Similarly, he appealed to the government at all levels to do the needful by ensuring that youths are provided with empowerment to discourage them from anti-social behaviour. “According to him, “I want the youths to forgive one another and everybody that may have offended them in Ogoni.

“This lack of forgiveness among them is not only in Ogoni but everywhere in the state. Government is not also helping matters because they are not creating job opportunities and you know, most of the youths that are doing this things are married and they want to take care of their children”.

While calling on political leaders in Khana to join hand to foster peace in the area, he commended Chief Nyesom Wike the governor of Rivers State for his efforts at restoring peace to the area and urged him to make the fight against cult groups in Ogoni total.

Reverend Didi also spoke on some of the things God is using him to do as a pastor to include healing, financial blessing, fruit of the womb wedding among others.
