The Amanyanabo of ancient Ele Kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, Apina VII, has reiterated that for Wakirike ethnic nationality to further move forward and occupy its rightful place in the State, they should regard peace, unity and brotherly love as their watchword.
King Tamunoseipriala Okuru who made the assertion when he led his Divisional Council of Chiefs, Elders and the people of the community on a courtesy visit to the Amanyanabo of Ogoloma Kingdom, King Emmanuel Obudibo, Ikwo V, at his palace in Ogoloma, Okrika Local Government Area.
He said peace and unity in Wakirike will attract more development and achieve their heart desires as it was the dream of their fore-bearers, and noted that it was time for them to come together, encourage each other and be their brother’s keeper to forge ahead.
The Ele Monarch opined that because there was no love, the Okrikans have lost their salt and therefore should restrategize on how to take the ethic nationality to enviable height.
The Traditional Ruler who thanked God and the State Governor over the elevation of the stool of the Ogoloma Monarch from second class, described it as well deserved because of the track records and wealth of experience of King Obudibo, Ikwo V, and congratulated him on the elevation.
According to King Okuru Apina VII, Ele as one of the nine ancient clans of Wakirike is fast developing with the recent coronation of their Traditional Ruler and solicited for the support and co-operation of all to further move the kingdom to greater heights.
In his speech, the Amanyanabo of Ogoloma Kingdom, King E.T.I. Obudibo thanked the Ele Monarch and his entourage for the visit and stressed the need for them to exchange ideals, interact and discuss on unity and ways to move the kingdoms forward.
King Obudibo prayed God to further ensure unity and peace in Wakirike and enjoined the people of Ele kingdom to live in peace and support their King to grow from strength to strength and be blessed.
He assured the King of Ele Kingdom of his co-operation and brotherly love and further prayed God Almighty to see them through in all their lives.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Ogoloma Council of Chiefs, Chief Levi Tamuno Iwaribi Alalibo, who described the visit as a welcome development, expressed delight that the entire people of Ogoloma are very happy and ready to join them in their struggle for recognition by the government.
Alalibo said Ogoloma and Ele as ancient kingdoms have suffered deprivation and opined that they should work together, understand each other and forge ahead.
In their separate speeches, Chief Sample Amatarime Amakiri and Chief Joseph Oloye Buloabere of Ele Divisional Council of Chiefs said they were in his place to officially present their king to him as one of the ancient nine clans in Okrika so that they could also speak with one voice to achieve their goals.
They expressed dismay that there are only two first class traditional rulers in Wakirike and prayed that the people should forget their differences and join hands to get more classified Kings from the area to be in the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers and appealed that Ele Kingdom should be carried along in Wakirike ethnic nationality and in Rivers State in general, thanking them for the warm reception.
