Rivers Police Command Frees 3 Kidnapped Lebanese Nationals
The Rivers State Police Command has announced the rescue of the three Lebanese nationals abducted on June 6, 2019 from a construction site at Andoni Local Government Area of the State.
A statement signed by the Rivers Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni said the kidnapped victims were freed unhurt at the early hours of Tuesday, 25/6/19.
“The victims were rescued as a result of the intense pressure mounted on them by the Police, complemented by the strategic role played by the Chairman of Andoni LGA, HON. Lawrence Paul”, the statement said.
Omoni added that the victims have been debriefed and are currently receiving medical attention in an undisclosed hospital.
The State PPRO gave the names of the freed Lebanese nationals as: (1) Tony Stephen ‘m’ 63 years, (2) Chandy Lahoud ‘m’ and (3) Emile Skaff ‘m’.
Meanwhile, efforts have been intensified to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice.
