Evacuation Of Refuse: Bro. Obuah, Impressed With Areas Visited, Urges Service Providers To Do More

The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro. Felix Obuah has again declared that the task of keeping Port Harcourt, the State capital and its environs dirt-free is not negotiable and must be achieved.

Bro. Obuah, who made the declaration shortly after monitoring some major roads and streets in Port Harcourt in the early hours of today, expressed satisfaction with the level of cleanness and praised Service Providers who cover the areas visited for a job well done.

The early morning monitoring exercise took the RIWAMA Sole Administrator and his team of officials to Ikwerre Road; Ikwerre Road by Market Junction; Rumuomasi Road and NTA Road.

Other areas visited were Iwofe Road and Stadium Road.  Before returning to RIWAMA office at Mile 4, Bro. Obuah and his team also monitored situations at the Mile 2 and Mile 3 areas of Diobu, Port Harcourt respectively.

“Our Service Providers from what we saw today have done well and have helped us to achieve success in our effort to clean Port Harcourt and its environs.  While we thank you for the little you have done, it is a call for you to sustain the tempo”, Bro. Obuah declared.

The RIWAMA boss stressed that the dream to attain 100% cleanliness of Port Harcourt, the State capital and its environs is a task that must be done, adding that with more effort from all Service Providers, the mission would surely be achieved.

The monitoring exercise continues tomorrow.
