…As Ogoni Chamber Of Commerce Receives PHCCIMA Support

Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, PHCCIMA, has promise to continue to identify and encourage establishment of local Chambers of Commerce across local governments in the state.

PHCCIMA President, Chief Nabil Saleh, made this known when the immediate past Commissioner for Employment Generation and first Deputy President of Ogoni Chamber of Commerce, Dr Leloonu Nwibubasa led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the chamber President.

According to Chief Nabil, PHCCIMA doors are open to all local chambers of commerce, especially now that the chamber has commenced a process of stimulating and encouraging local chambers to constitute themselves in order to start benefitting. He requested that the Ogoni chamber of commerce be added in the local chambers platform to align themselves with values within.

 He commended the immediate past commissioner for leaving a positive legacy in his ministry, expressing confidence in him to excel in his endeavours.

“We are Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce and head of the organized private sector in the state but our focus remains the entire Rivers State, that is why the visit today is very strategic and a valuable one that will open new frontiers of opportunities,” he said.

 According to him, chamber movement is about networking and information, even as he assured the delegation that PHCCIMA will work closely with Ogoni Chamber of Commerce for the growth of the organized private sector.

Earlier, the immediate past Commissioner for Employment Generation/and first deputy President of Ogoni Chamber of Commerce, Dr Leloonu Nwibubasa, had said the Ogoni axis is endowed with enormous potentials in natural and human resources, with presence of economically vibrant industries, saying that this made it imperative for it to approach the mother chamber (PHCCIMA) with the aim of receiving supports to harness the potentials.
