Apart from the popular saying ” all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” female journalists in the state have been advised to make physical exercise a lifestyle.

The General Manager of Rivers State Television (RSTV), Pastor Dafini Gogo-Abe gave the advice during the aerobics session organised by National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) as part of the activities to mark this year’s NAWOJ Week.

She noted that exercise is the only thing that can make one mentally alert, stressing that it takes a mentally sound person to practice Journalism.

He also said that regular exercising of the body guarantees health especially as many diseases and sickness are prevented when the body is exercised on a regular basis.

Commending NAWOJIANS for including aerobics in their programme she maintained that as women who go through a lot of stress including child bearing the only way to be efficient in journalism career that is dominated by men is to remain physically fit.

The veteran NAWOJIAN who actively participated in the aerobics session said she decided to be part of the exercise so as to encourage female Journalists while letting them know how important exercise is to every woman.

She further said that exercising has nothing to do with age or status since it’s importance to the human system cannot be over emphasised.
