Wike’s Supreme Court Victory Excites Prophet

The General Overseer of Voice of Freedom Synagogue, Igbo-Etche in Etche Local Government of the State, Prophet Udeme John Bassey says he is deeply elated over last Monday Supreme Court ruling which dismissed the suit challenging Governor Wike’s eligibility to contest the 2019 Governorship Election.

Prophet Bassey, who applauded the judgment as a welcome development, however said the ruling did not come to him as a surprise as according to him, he had heard from God that all those fighting against the governor was fighting a lost battle.

The cleric who is the President of the Niger Delta Liberation Movement (NDLM) urged that every other litigation regarding the outcome of the 2019 Governorship election in Rivers State should be discontinued so as not to incur the wroth of God.

“Governor Wike means well for the people of the State.  This can be attested by the olive branch that he has offered to all and sundry for the sake of peace and development of the State”, he told journalists at a press briefing in Igbo Etche on Monday.

The Prophet who claimed to have led the vanguard of ‘prayer warriors’ for good governance in the State as well as praying for other elected members of the State and National Assemblies, declared Rivers as the most blessed State in the country.

“Governor Wike’s declaration that Rivers is a Christian State is not a fluke.  Those that put their trust in God can never be put to shame and that is what is playing out here.  Anyone fighting Governor Wike is fighting the hand of God.  That is why it is always victory for Governor Wike left, right and center”, said the cleric.

The Man of God who many in Etche tout as ‘Otimkpu 1 of Jehovah’ criticized President Mohammed Buhari over his apparent complicity in the herdsmen saga, saying his actions and inactions are proving his critic right.

“Buhari has no value for the lives of Nigerians”, he said, adding that the President through his actions was turning Nigeria into an ‘animal farm’.
