Children they say are blessings from God Almighty, this was one big blessing for the family of Mr. and Mrs. Sele Francis in Port Harcourt.
On Sunday, July 28, 2019, Miss Ibioku Sele Francis was presented before the altar at Bethel African Church, Iwofe in Port Harcourt. The dedication ceremony was not just an ordinary ceremony but a thanksgiving service to God Almighty for safe delivery.
According to Mrs. Francis, it was only God that saw her through all that she went through the delivery period. Expressing her joy, she urged other women to be prayerful at all time because God is indeed ready to answer prayers whenever He is called upon. She also thanked those of them that went into prayers for her safe delivery and that of her baby.
The father of the celebrant (Miss Ibioku Francis) who is the secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asari-Toru local government chapter, Bro Sele Francis expressed gratitude to God Almighty with overwhelming joy as he interpreted the meaning of the name Ibioku, which means “Good News”.
Explaining further, he said that he named his children based on inspiration he got from God, after communing with God, adding that the coming of the baby mean that good news awaits him, and that this has come inform of his daughter, which according to her, “she is just a testimony of good things to come” he said.
The excited father thanked all those that graced the occasion, saying the presence of his love ones from other political parties and his immediate political party attested to the fact that he is indeed a brother to all.
“Politics is politics but friendship and brotherhood is key and that is my focus in life. I am a free thinker and easy going gentleman, a lot of people chose to go by the name honourable but I simply choose to be brother Sele because I am a brother to all”, he said.
HRH King Tubotamuno Dick spoke eloquently about the father of young Ibioku, Bro Francis described him as an exemplary father and seasoned politician worthy of emulation.
The occasion was graced by friends, family members and political associate who departed with smiles following a refreshing reception at their residence.
