Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Monday inspected the Mother and Child Hospital, which is under construction by the State Government.
The State Government had earlier terminated the contract of the construction of the facility after the first contractor deviated from the expected specification. The new contractor has started remodelling the hospital and correcting the errors made by the first contractor.
Governor Wike was accompanied on the inspection by the Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah. Already, the equipment for the modern hospital are already on ground.
Also on Monday, Governor Wike inspected Birabi Road and Judges Quarters.
He was also at the Mile One Market and the Fruit Garden Market, where traders hailed him as he embarked on inspection.
The two markets will be commissioned as part of the first one hundred days of the second term of Governor Wike.
