A socio political group Ogoni Community Development Network has accused the Chairman of Ogoni Traditional Rulers Council, King N. K Gininwa of plotting to create crisis in Ogoniland.
The group in a statement signed by its President, Johnson Kuele also alleged that King Gininwa was an enemy of the late Ogoni environmentalist, Ken Saro-Wiwa.
Kuele, whose group is based in Green River, Wyoming in the United States, further alleged that Gininwa and his friends had connived with a factional leader of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), Legborsi Pyagbara to ensure there is anarchy in Ogoniland.
According to him, a new strategy has been adopted whereby women are sponsored to protest to him (Giniwa) so he can find reason to call his usual “Sakpenwa meeting” and pretend to be talking of security.
“In essence, his goal is to project his shameless Pyagbara as MOSOP President and call for oil resumption through their nonsesical Prof. Ben Naane’s Committee Template.” he said.
Kuele went further to say Gininwa took the kingship by force and therefore think he can also get the MOSOP and oil resumption by force too, thereby giving MOSOP to KAGOTE through the help of “shameless Pyagbara” who was said to be his partner in crime.
The group also said Gininwa needed to behave himself because the people of Ogoniland are tired of these maneuvers and want a stop to it, because according to it, you can’t sponsor terrorism and turn back to raise alarm about insecurity.
The group urged the Ogoni people to ignore these evil activities, as they are intended to bring crisis to the land.
