A requiem mass for the soul of late Pa Gbogbara Faa-ol will be held on Sunday, October 27 at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Bodo City, Rivers State.
This follows a peace and successful committal to mother earth of the remains of the deceased in his compound at Kolgba Village, Bodo City, Friday, Oct. 18.
He was aged, 93, and survived by numerous children and relations, including Hon. John Ledisi Faa-ol, councillor representing Bodo City Ward 3, in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Hon. Faa-ol while addressing newsmen expressed delight that his late father, a respected and self-employed man particularly in fishing profession, lived an exemplary life being a Christian and lover of persons that came across him in his lifetime.
An elder of the family, Mr. Tombari Faa-ol who also spoke to newsmen commended the deceased’s children and other family members for caring for their late father and, also living in peace as a people.
Hon. John Ledisi Faa-ol also expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of Gokana Local Government Council, Hon. Paul Vidag Kobani for his massive support that contributed to the success of the event.
He extended similar thanks to his colleagues and appealed to the people of Gokana to queue behind the Council boss in his quest to provide dividends of democracy in the area.
