How Okirie, Lovely Wife Exchanged Vows In Omoku
Dignitaries from far and near over the weekend graced the traditional marriage ceremony of Mr. Fidelis Okirie and his lovely wife, former Perpetual Ile in Omoku, headquarters of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA).
Speaking shortly after the traditional exchange of palm wine from the bride to groom, Rivers State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bro. Felix Obuah, who led the pack of politicians to the event advised the couple to respect their marriage vows and live in love and unity.
Obuah who is also Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) noted that as the palm wine is sweet and savory, so is the institution of marriage tasteful if the couple work in the consciousness that they are one and inseparable.
In an interview with journalists, the groom, Mr. Fidelis Okirie who is the Manager of the popular K3 Hotel, owned by Bro Felix Obuah, expressed joy thanking God for the successful ceremony.
He advised bachelors to be focused in life, saying “marriage is not rosy always “.
On her part, the bride, a former Miss Perpetual Ile also thanked the PDP Chairman saying, “He was really there and made sure everything went smoothly. She described her husband as a man with much wisdom saying “he is the manager of my heart” and thanked all and sundry for their show of love.
The colourful event had in attendance top ONELGA political leaders including Hon. Christian Ahiakwo, Hon. Ifeanyi Odili, Chairman of ONELGA, Shedrack Chukwu, Vincent Job, amongst others.
