The South-South regional headquarters of SunTrust Bank Limited has been opened in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Unveiling the bank which is located at the Trans Amadi Industrial Area on Friday, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank, Mr. Ayo Babatunde said bringing the regional office of the bank to the Rivers State capital would serve to meet the yearnings and aspirations of their numerous customers for better quality service delivery .
Mr. Babatunde disclosed that the bank is working tirelessly to provide distinct financial services and products to customers, small business owners, corporations as well as government institutions that will positively impact their business.
He explained that the bank which is duly licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) would strive to create best results for customers and clients with financial ingenuity that would lead to simple solutions.
He posited that the bank will focuse its lending services on SME finance, retail/consumer banking, medium to large corporate finance and other areas.
Also speaking, the Acting Regional Executive of South West Region of Nigeria, Osita Maduagwu, said the event was held to officially introduce the bank to the people of South-South beginning with the Port Harcourt branch, so that, in his words, “people will have idea of who we are, what we represent and what we can add to the people of Rivers State”.
On mechanism put in place to address complaints, Maduagwu explained that the bank has a 24-hour non- stop Customers Centre through which clients can reach the bank through phone calls, text messages and Whatsapp social platform where all issues will be addressed almost immediately.
He added that the bank will survive the competition in the sector and also do very well due to the value it is bringing to its customers.
A member of the Board of Directors, Ms Amal Pepple, (CFR) while also speaking, assured that the bank would give the best of its services to customers.
“You can trust us, we are here for you, to serve and ensure you are happy with our services”, she said.
On his part, a former Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Peter Agumagu emphasized that trust is essential ingredient in any human relationship, assuring that the bank prides itself with quality service that will make customers to keep having faith in them.
Earlier, while unveiling special products and services of the bank to customers, the South-South Regional Executive Officer, Mrs. Norris Okafor, explained that the bank offers salary advance for workers who have salary account with the bank even as she revealed that the bank also has an overdraft facility that will support business by providing working capital to support business operations.
She stated that the bank provides overdraft facilities to qualifying business that have established relationship with the bank and provide necessary advisory services required to ensure re-payment are well supported by cash flow of the clients business.
