Thanksgiving Opens More Doors To Christians

As worshippers gathered in their numbers to celebrate the November (end of the month) thanksgiving, Christians have been called upon to cultivate the act of giving thanks to God as to receive more blessings from God.

The Minister-in-Charge, (M.I.C) Rhema Chapel International Churches, Port Harcourt, Pastor Abiola Ajadi dropped the charge as he encouraged members to take a cue from the good works of the Lord Jesus.

He noted that, even Jesus Christ, during his earthly ministry had the culture of giving thanks in his relationship with his father. According to him, this became a symbol of connecting with heaven in order to get his prayer answered immediately. He lamented that many magnified their present conditions above appreciating God.

He cited an example the ten lepers in the Bible who got healed by the Lord Jesus and just one of them returned to say thank you. He noted that while they received their cleansing from leprosy, only the one who came to give thanks received full restoration without any scare of the decease.

Pst. Ajadi said that giving thanks, even in relationship with fellow men encourages the doer of good works to continue. He observed that the Yoruba ethnic nationality had a culture of saying thank you whenever they receive any form of help.

The man of God appreciated those who came out in large number to testify to the goodness of God by saying the act of giving testimonies is tantamount to returning to say thank you.

Meanwhile, the November thanksgiving saw children dancing round and their parents in turn went all over the place in the auditorium to thank God  with their substance and different dance steps. This is apart from individual thanksgiving and the cutting of cake for the celebrants of the month of November.
