Abducted Police Officers: Rivers Police Command Appeals To Public To Provide Information
The Rivers State Police command has appealed to the general public to provide credible information to the Police that could lead to the arrest of abductors of two Police officers who regained freedom last week.
The Spokesperson of the State Police command, Nnamdi Omoni said the Police are still on the trail of the hoodlums but solicited for support from the public.
The Officers, ASP Godwin Anwuri and Sgt Gift Ojimini who were kidnapped four months ago, were rescued at the early hours of Thursday, Jan 9, following intense pressure mounted on their abductors by the Police tactical units, complemented by support from the locals.
DSP Nnamdi Omoni disclosed that the Officers have been debriefed and are currently receiving medical attention.
The Police image maker added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Mustapha Dandaura also reiterated the command’s commitment to deal with all criminal elements in the State and restore sanity ultimately.
