Woji Community Celebrates God’s Faithfulness
….As Paramount Ruler Counts His blessings
The people of Woji Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State have once more rolled out the drums to Celebrate God`s Faithfulness on them in their usual annual thanksgiving service.
The event which held at St Nicholas (Ang) Church, Woji Community led by the Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli, HRH, Eze Emeka G. Ihunwo (JP) and his family members emptying into the church to appreciate God.
The Woji Council of Chiefs Dorn in white upon white was led by the Traditional Prime Minister, Chief Tony A. Chuku, PhD while the women group led by “Igwugwueze” (Queen) Gladys Ihunwo were dorn in their blue lace wrappers and top with white head- gear to match .
The Woji people alongside their residents, friends and well-wishers trooped out in their numbers to escort the celebrants to the itwith various gift items in appreciation of God`s benevolence on them in the past years.
Delivering his sermon, Rev Canon Kingsley Ohajienya of Evo Diocese of the Church preached on God Limitless Power, stressing that once a believer acknowledges that his/her helplessness and submit the Challenges to God, the fellow will never go back home the same way he/she came.
The man of God made it clear that one who desires to tap from God`s divine power must separate himself/herself from the crowd.
Thereafter, there was an intercessory prayers for the congregation led by Rev Ohajienya and other men of God.
Quoting from Gen 27vs 40, the man of God prayed that whatever that has kept the people stagnant or witnessing near- success syndrome must be uprooted by the power of God.
“Whatever that was inherited from the family curses, ancestral attar and parental background must be broken by thus divine encounter,” he prayed.
In a press interview, the Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli Woji Community, HRH, Eze, Amb, Emeka G. Ihunwo (JP) said the essence of the community putting God first in all they do or planned to do is tap from Omnipotent source.
“We have ear- marked a lot this year to achieve and nothing can be done or achieved without His support. Some of our youths who were on scholarship sponsor have completed their first degree program, and we hope to sponsor some of them for masters degree program this year in our concerted effort to move our community forward”.
The monarch used the opportunity to thank the private school proprietors in their community for partnering with the Woji Stake holders for development purposes of their community and called on others who are yet to support the efforts of the Woji Council of Chiefs develop their community.
Also speaking with the newsmen, the Traditional Prime Minister of Woji Community, Chief Tony Chuku, PhD, said it has become a ritual for them to thank God for his faithfulness in the past year and urge Him for more blessing for the coming year.
“When you appreciate God, He does more. We are grateful to him that despite all the challenge, God saw us through in all our endeavors. That in one of our major policy thrust”, he stated.
Thereafter, the congregation retired to palatial compound of the paramount Ruler for sumptuous entertainment.
