There are indications that the late Chima Ikwunado has been buried in a shallow grave dug by detained suspects after the cell inmates raised alarm that a dead man was in their midst.
One of the detained Ikokwu 4 also confirmed the story saying himself and one other prisoner was forced to dig the shallow grave where the remains of the late Chima Ikwunado was dumped without shirts but with tattered briefs.
Another police officer who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent in confidence that the young man police killed on the 23rd of December was buried in the bush in the night.
He said Chima’s family lawyer was told in confidence by a police officer. She knows that Chima was buried within 24hrs of death from savage beating and brutal torture.
He said: “Our police PRO of the River State command going on air to tell the public that an autopsy showed Chima died of diabetes was wrong because they were fully informed of the whole circumstance.
“I believe our office is just covering up to save the face of police from the wrongful arrest and murder of Chima and his fellow mechanics”.
