‘Physically Challenged’ – Led Hoodlums Invade Diobu

In what seems like harvest of robbery in Mile 3, Diobu area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State recently, hoodlums at about 8:30pm robbed passersby and shopowners of their mobile phones, money worth thousands of naira and other personal belongings.
We learned that the hoodlums who drove in a black golf vehicle with four occupants reportedly led by a physically challenged who just came out of a correctional centre in Port Harcourt first struck at a Barber’s shop at Wokoma/Dim street and collected all the mobile phones and money belonging to customers at gunpoint.
The source explained that the hoodlums thereafter, proceeded to Ojoto Street and Elechi, all in Mile 3 Diobu where they robbed mostly passersby of their belongings.
The local vigilante who reportedly retreated initially had to remobilize their members from other streets and gave the hoodlums a hot chase.
The Chairman of the vigilante of Ojoto section of Mile 3, Diobu, Kelvin Wachukwu, in an interview with our reporter disclosed that the suspected robbers were heavily armed.
This was the second time the hoodlums carried out such sporadic attacks in Mile 3, Diobu, investigations revealed.
Checks by National Network showed that some shopowners since after the incident, have been locking their shops once it’s 7pm.
