Omueke Community Inaugurates New Youth Executive

Omueke Community Igwuruta in Ikwerre Local Government Area has inaugurated new youth executive to manage their youth affairs for the next three years.

Chief John Ebom Worlu, the Nyechiali Omueke who was flanked by his Council of Chiefs, inaugurated the officers in his palace on Monday 9th March, 2020.

The officers who were elected on Saturday, 7th March in an election handled by a five-man-election committee led by Mr. Isaac Amaewule are: Justice Chikweru Amadi – Chairman, Ugochukwu Ebom worlu – Vice Chairman, Mario Chikweru – Secretary, Chima Maxwell Olocha – Financial Secretary, Sunny Eleazu Ebenezer – Treasurer – Apostle Ezihuo O. Promise – PRO, and Iheanyi Chukwu Nwagu – Provost.

Swearing in the new Exco, the Nyechiali/Paramount Ruler, Omueke Community, Chief John Ebom Worlu charged them to work for security and peace of the community. He urged them to stamp out insecurity and cultism for peace and development of Omueke Community.

Nyechiali Omueke further advised them to carry everybody and every family along in their administration, liaise always with the paramount ruler and his Council of Chiefs, use dialogue and work as an indivisible entity. He warned that on no account should crisis be allowed to erupt in the community, stressing that Omueke had passed the age of crises.

Chief Worlu commended the electoral committee for conducting a free and fair election devoid of crisis and partiality.

In his response, the new chairman of Omueke youth development, Justice Chikweru Amadi said as far as he was concerned there was no winner and no vanquished, stressing that all of them won the election together. He promised to carry everybody along and consult the paramount ruler and his Council of Chiefs when necessary.

He said the cardinal point of his administration was to fight insecurity and make sure that peace reigned supreme in Omueke community. He called for support of everybody and promised not to disappoint Omueke people.

Justice Amadi however, pleaded with the paramount ruler and his Council of Chiefs to release the Craft Centre at Omueke for them to use as their operational office.

The paramount ruler who responded on behalf of his chiefs said they would look into the request.
