…As Company Donates Palliatives
A s part of its social corporate responsibility, a manufacturing company situated in Choba Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Dufil Prima Foods Company Ltd has donated over 200 cartons of Indomie noodles to its host community to cushion the effect of the sit-at-home order of the government as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Making the presentation to the Choba Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli, HRH, Eze Raymond O. W. Okocha, his council of chiefs and the community COVID-19 committee, the Human Resources Manager of the company, makers of Indomie noodles and pasta, Mr. Chinedum Wali said his company is happy to associate with the Choba Community and appeal for even distribution of the items.
He made it clear that the company had donated various items to the state and Obio/Akpor Local Government Area as part of its social corporate responsibility and are ready to do more to reciprocate the conducive environment provided for their business growth.
Mr. Wali further disclosed that nothing is too big for the company to maintain the mutual relationship enjoyed, adding that the pandemic is a global scourge that must be fought together to a halt.
In response, the Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli Choba Community, HRH, Eze Raymond O. W. Okocha thanked the company for coming to their aid at this point in time, adding that the Choba Community will remain grateful to them.
The monarch made it known that the palliatives was meant for targeted audience, including the widows, elderly and vulnerable in the society and not for everybody.
He however assured that through the Choba COVID-19 Committee, the food items will get to every family including the non-indigenes in their midst.
He made it clear that the palliatives is not meant for the chiefs and elders but for the vulnerable and poor people who cannot fend for themselves.
Eze Okocha used the opportunity to warn those defiling government directives especially some non-indigenes at the Choba axis of the area to desist forthwith or face the wrath of the community. Those who witnessed the sharing of the items were Messrs Lucky Azu, Community Liaison Officer, (Indomie) and Lucky Worlu, Community Liaison Officer, (paster), who expressed gratitude to their company.
