RIWAMA Sole Administrator, Bro Felix Obuah Condemns Unwarranted Arrest, Detention, Attacks On Service Providers
The Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA wishes to state that following its earlier report, the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon Solomon Eke is working closely with security agents to bring those who attacked Service Providers working with the Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, in some parts of the Local Government Area, to justice.
We wish to also correct our earlier report which stated that our Service Provider and workers were attacked at along Eliozu Road, before Depper Life Bible Church, close to Adamack Company, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, under the guise of Community COVID-19 Enforcement Team.
The actual location where our Service Provider and workers were attacked, beaten to stupor and inflicted deep cuts on their heads and bodies, with machetes was at RUMUODARA JUNCTION, BY EAST WEST ROAD, CLOSE TO THE BOUNDARY WITH RUMUOKRUSHI.
In view of the foregoing therefore, the Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, Bro Felix Obuah commends the swift intervention of the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon Solomon Eke, to the report made by the Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA on the attacks on its Service Providers and workers.
According to the RIWAMA Sole Administrator, Bro Obuah: “Wastes evacuation at this time of COVID-19 pandemic is key for the overall health condition of all those living and doing business in the State, therefore they should be encouraged to do their work, and not to attack and wound them, as we have witnessed in the past 6 days”
He called for an end to attacks on Service Providers working with the Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, as the Agency will do all within its powers, to bring culprits to justice.
