HRH, Eze Nwala Commends Ulakwo/Umuselem COVID-19 Committee

The Paramount Ruler of Ulakwo/ Umuselem Kingdom in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, His Royal Highness, Eze Ken O. Nwala, Ugo I of Etcheland, (Onye Ishi Agwuru III) has commended the performance of the COVID-19 Committee he set up to monitor and ensure compliance to government directives over the fight on the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking with newsmen in his palace over the weekend at Etche, he disclosed that since the committee assumed duties, it has achieved 98% compliance as hotels, markets and shops are totally locked up.

“The border point  between Etche and Abia State i.e. Odogwa/Owaza has also been totally shut down with iron gates, warning that anyone who flouts the directive would be arrested and handed over to the relevant authorities for prosecution”.

The monarch also warned criminal elements in his kingdom to have a rethink and repent or relocate as he will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that they are brought to book.

He used the opportunity to commend Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike over his efforts in safeguarding the lives and property of Rivers people, urging him not to be distracted but remain focused on his divine mission of rescuing and restoring the state to her lost glory.

Eze (Sir) Nwala equally used the opportunity to appeal to Gov Wike to keep to his promise of buying food items from Etche farmers especially the women group as they are perishable.

He also appealed to Rivers people and residents to keep on supporting the programmes and policies of the State government as the governor means well to them, adding that the coronavirus will definitely come and go like others before it.
