PDP Stakeholders Advise New Party LG Executives To Be Committed, Focused

Chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State have advised the newly sworn in Local Government Party Executives to be committed and focused in their task of moving the party to the next level.

Speaking to newsmen during the inauguration of the Kelga Executive at the party secretariat, Chief, Sir Goodluck Nwobike (PhD) said he is optimistic that integrity and honesty will becloud their sense of judgements as they deal with all manners of party members.

“While congratulating the party executives for their victory and successful inauguration to lead us at this point in time, I advise the LG executive to be committed and focused to their assignment.

My special thanks goes to Hon. Dennis Amadi – Chairman and Hon. Charles Wobodo – Secretary for coming out victorious, he  said.

At Oyigbo Local Government Area, Hon. John Nwachukwu, former Adviser to Governor Wike, while congratulating Hon Ibeawuchi Alex led Oyigbo PDP LG Executives for their successful inauguration, urged them to be focused and ensure that the total reconciliation of aggrieved members of the party and make it ready for future general elections in the area, advising that they should work as a team.

He said the PDP family in the area is happy with their leader and state chief executive for all his efforts in making sure that Rivers people and residents are safe during this COVID-19 Pandemic fight.

According to the former Special Adviser, “We on our part are engaged in various committees supporting in the monitoring and enforcing compliance to the government’s directives for everybody to stay safe and alive as we fight to contain the spread of the dreaded disease”, he said.

Recalled that various local governments representatives at the Rivers State House of Assembly had been mandated to conduct the swearing in ceremony on their elected party executives on Wednesday May 6, 2020 simultaneously on a low key which was complied  without a mammoth crowd as soon as possible as the committee members took their oath of office.

Similarly, the PDP stalwarts advised the State Executives led by Amb. Desmond Akawor to be focused and strive to surpass the achievements of its predecessors in office. In their separate interviews, the duo advised the PDP State Exco to ensure that aggrieved members of the party are reconciled back into the fold while the doors are equally opened for the new members and returnees.
